Obituary of Norma Schumacher

Schumacher, Norma ~ On Monday, February 27, 2012, at Grand River Hospital as a result of age-related illness. Born in 1925, at St. Thomas, Ontario, Norma is survived by her loving spouse of 64 years, Jerome Schumacher; four children, Paul (Lynn) Schumacher, Brian Schumacher, Mark (Janet) Schumacher, and Becky (Donald) Allison. Also survived by seven grandchildren: Christopher (Lori) Schumacher, Jonathan Schumacher, Steven, Andrew and Ryan Schumacher, Connie (Korbin) Purchase, and Julie Allison; and three great-grandchildren, Sydney, Ella and Owen Schumacher. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Flora Hill and her brother Lt. Col. Louis J. (Elaine) Hill. At the request of the family, there will be no funeral home visitation or service. A private family committal service will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Community Care Access Program of Waterloo Region or The Canadian Red Cross Society may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home (519-669-2207).
