Obituary of Evelyn Pond

Pond, Evelyn (Elligson) ~ Peacefully passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, at the age of 97 years. Evelyn Pond, formerly of Elmira, is the beloved wife of the late Sidney Pond (1966). Dear mother of Don (Dianne) Pond of Kitchener, Karen Ellis, Barry (Karen) Pond, all of Elmira and Jane (Allan) Eaton of Kitchener. Also lovingly remembered by her twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Evelyn is the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents Charles and Louisa Elligson, five brothers and one sister. Family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday, February 2nd from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, February 3rd from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Hans Borch officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira. In her memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Thank you to all the staff at Heritage House for the excellent care and compassion given to Evelyn during her final years.
