Obituary of Frieda Christina Fink

Fink, Frieda Christina (nee Holling) ~ On Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in her 93rd year, Frieda went to be with her Lord and Saviour. She died peacefully at home with family by her side. She loved her family unconditionally and was their shining example of faith in God. Predeceased by husband Elmer in 2003 and brother Orval Holling in 2005. She is lovingly remembered by daughter Patricia Brezynskie (Dave), son Ron Fink (Kathleen), grandchildren Erin Acker (Scot), Shawn Fink (Isabel), Regan Fink (Sam), Brandon Brezynskie (Janelle), Nichole Dowling (Scott) and Jaqueline Clement (Ty), great-grandchildren Madison, Mackenzie, Morgan, Payton, Mason, Nolan, Abby, Karson, Liam and Jacob, and sister-in-law Dolly Holling and family. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Elmira, and served her Lord willingly as a long-serving member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and also as church secretary. She was the founder of Lutheran Braille Workers of Canada. Visitation will be on Friday, January 27th at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., with the service to be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 27 Mill St., Elmira, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 28, 2012, with interment to follow. The family would especially like to thank all the nurses and support staff of Bayshore Home Health, and the wonderful ladies of the Canadian Red Cross Community Health Services, for all of their love and compassion. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Lutheran Braille Workers of Canada or The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids Foundation) in Toronto.
