Obituary of Helen Diebold
Diebold, Helen ~ Peacefully passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Chateau Gardens, Elmira. Helen (Ray) Diebold, age 94 years, formerly of Glen Allan. Beloved wife of the late Jerome A. Diebold (1995). Dear mother of John Diebold, Theresa and Bill Cassel, Hilda Cassel and her friend Ted Teahen, Marie Reimer, Gladys Metzger and her friend Willie Vollmer, all of Elmira, Jim and Sharon Diebold of Baden, Grace Young and her friend Bill Murray of Stratford, Bob and Linda Diebold of Elmira, Wayne and Brenda Diebold of Mount Forest, Roy and Robin Diebold of Guelph. Also survived by her 29 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, a brother Arthur Ray of Kitchener and a sister-in-law Jean Ray of Milverton. Predeceased by her parents John and MaryAnn (Hahn) Ray, son Earl Diebold, sister Mary Voll and her husband Joe, brother John Ray, sisters-in-law Margaret Ray and Hilda Reiling and her husband Jackson, sons-in-law Edmund Cassel, Howard Forester, Earl Minnie, daughter-in-law Betty Diebold and great-grandson Noah Solomon Diebold. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, Elmira on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Father Jim Valk officiating. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Macton. In her memory, donations to Chateau Gardens Auxiliary or St. Mary’s Church Building Fund, Linwood would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
