Obituary of John Stanley Klein

Klein, John Stanley ~ Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Forest Heights LTCC, Kitchener on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Rita (Ertel) Klein of Elmira, for 61 years. Dear father of Patsy Pond and her husband Steven of Elmira. Brother of Dorothy Fewkes of New Hamburg. Brother-in-law of Wilma Klein of Orillia, Bernice Klein of Kitchener and Doris Klein of Elmira. He was predeceased by three sisters Edna Haffner, Dora Westfall and Della Swartz, three brothers George, Roy and Donald Klein, and by his parents John and Mary (Franklin) Klein. Stan worked at Procast Foundries for 45 years. He loved gardening, bowling, baseball and horseshoes. Papa will be greatly missed by his four-legged friends Pepper, Rylie and Ruby. Friends and relatives may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday, January 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, Elmira. Interment to follow in Elmira Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.
