Obituary of Henry S. Burkhart

Burkhart, Henry S. ~ Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Husband of the late Lydian (Brubacher) Burkhart (1947) and the late Amy (Martin) Burkhart (2010). Father of Amos and Elvina Burkhart of RR 1, Wallenstein, Anna and Vernon Martin of Elmira, Lorne and Annie Burkhart of RR 1, Wallenstein, Leonard and Erma Burkhart of RR 3, Wallenstein, Paul and Esther Burkhart of RR 1, Wallenstein, James and Laura Burkhart of Hawkesville, Naomi and Allen Martin of RR 2, Drayton. Survived by 32 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. Brother of Amos and Rebecca Burkhart of RR 3, Wallenstein, Elsie and Sidney Frey of RR 1, Waterloo, and brother-in-law of Adah Burkhart of RR 1, St. Clements. He was predeceased by his parents Christian and Maryann (Shantz) Burkhart, a brother Elam Burkhart, one grandchild, and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Paul Burkhart’s home, 4232 Lichty Road, RR 1, Wallenstein on Tuesday, January 17th from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 18th from 1-5:30 p.m. where family service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 9 a.m., then to Peel Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. Service Summary Visitation: Paul Burkhart’s home, 4232 Lichty Road, RR 1, Wallenstein on Tuesday, January 17th from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 18th from 1-5:30 p.m. ~ Service: Family service will be held at Paul Burkhart's home on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 9 a.m., then to Peel Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery
