Obituary of Frieda Berscht

Berscht, Frieda Emma W. ~ 1919-2011 ~ Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by her sons Gary (Mary) of Heidelberg and Robert (Charlene) of Elmira, four grandchildren, Andrew, Bob (Anna), Tom, Brandy and great-granddaughter Lili. Fondly remembered by her sister Marie (Robert) Putnam of Waterloo and brother Carl of California. Frieda was predeceased by her beloved husband Earl in 1978, her parents Herman Henry Wagner (1963) and Dorothea (Wahl) Wagner (1975), and five brothers, Arthur, Norman, Howard, Waldemar and Stuart Wagner. A very heartfelt thank you to the staff of Parkwood Mennonite Home (Bauman Homestead) for the care and compassion shown to our mother while she was a resident. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will take place at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Hans Borch officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Parkwood Mennonite Home, St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira, or the Alzheimer Society by contacting the funeral home at 519-669-2207.
