Obituary of Marjorie Wescott

Wescott, Marjorie Elaine ~ 1913–2011 ~ Passed away peacefully at the KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday, September 9, 2011 in her 99th year. Marjorie Wescott (nee Christie) is the beloved wife of the late William Wescott (1977). Dear mother of Nancy Cooper and her husband Frank of Elmira, Bill Wescott and his wife Nancy Rivest of Haileybury, Midge Davenport and her husband George Divo of Scone. Loved grandmother of Scott Cooper of Elmira, Jennifer Kochut (Doug) of Waterloo, Carolyn Ensley (Henry) of Waterloo, Christine Andrews (Ron) of Burlington, Natalie Fossel (Shane) of Hanmer, Kelly Davenport of Kitchener and Mark Davenport of Port Credit, and great-grandmother of 14. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Ruth Garrett of London and one sister-in-law Edith Wescott. She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Charles Plourde, her sister and brother-in-law Jean and Tom McCormack and her parents Peter and Georgina Christie. Friends and relatives may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church, Elmira. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Chateau Gardens Auxiliary or Canadian Cancer Society. A special thank you to the staff at Chateau Gardens for their wonderful care of Marjorie for the past eight years.
