MacDonald, June ~ Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her residence in Elmira. June (Weirmeir) MacDonald age 78 years. Beloved wife of the late James MacDonald (1984). Dear mother of Debbie and Gerald Lichty of Elmira, Norma Smith and Ed Reimer of Wellesley, James “Dave” MacDonald of Elmira, Sue Fuller and Richard Verlaan of Cambridge. Loving grandma of Jeremy, Mike and Nicole, Megan and Wade, Alison and Eric, Jensen, Colin, and great-grandma to Charles. Sister of Elsie Klages of Chesley, Richard and Helen Weirmeir of Elmwood, Florence and Lloyd Schuknecht of Bobcaygeon. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Celia (Honess) Weirmeir. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Trinity United Church or Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
