Obituary of Irene Schade

Schade, Irene Isabella Maltman (nee Wilson) ~ Passed away peacefully at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Sunday, June 19, 2011 on her 83rd birthday. Irene Schade is survived by her loving husband and best friend for 45 years, Ward Schade of Elmira. Loving mother to Ian (Sylvia) Schade and Jennifer Schade. Cherished grandmother to Chrissy Emslie, Susan (Mike) Galley and Kelsey and Emma Etches. Great-grandma to Kaylia Austin (Galley), Grace, Hannah and Mary Beverly Galley and Isabella, Claire and Robert Emslie. Also lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Guy Goulet, brother-in-law Edwin Woodbury, sister-in-law Janet Schade and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents George and Isabella Wilson who emigrated from Scotland, her first husband Ken Woodbury, son Danny, daughter Beverly Goulet and sisters Moira (Lyons) Ringrose and Marion (Jim) Byars. Irene was a member of Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira and the Crystal Rebekah Lodge #286. Special thanks to Dr. Morlock, Dr. Keleher and the Home Care nurses. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Rebekah Lodge service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Gale Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2 Cross Street, Elmira, Ontario N3B 2S4.
