Obituary of Noreen Mcdougall

McDougall, Noreen Isabel (nee Scott)~ Peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Noreen, age 76 years, of Elmira, was the beloved wife of H. Neil McDougall for almost 55 years. Dear mother of David McDougall (Sue Kinsella) of Guelph, Mary Lynn and Bob Goodwin of Waterloo and Leah McDougall of Elmira. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jennifer and Brian Smith, Sean and Justine Goodwin, Melissa Goodwin and Ben Roth, by her great-granddaughter Alexis Goodwin, her second great-granddaughter expected this summer, and by her sister Wilma Culp of Damascus. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mamie (Small) Scott, her sister Iva Davis and her brother Harry. Noreen was an active member of the UCW and was proud of operating the Plaid Blanket Bed and Breakfast in Elmira for 20 years. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Elmira on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Jagger officiating, followed by interment in Elora Cemetery. In Noreen’s memory, donations to Trinity United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
