Obituary of Ella Cousineau

Peacefully on Saturday April 30, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Ella (Brant) Cousineau in her 100th year of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Robert J (Bonnie) Cousineau (1990). Loving mother of Shirley Christner and Ross Burkimsher of Thornhill, Thomas “Tom” Cousineau of Elmira, Marion and Gordon Langille of Toronto. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Robert Christner, Barbara (Barry) Aulbrooke, Mary (Chris) Langstaff, Robert (Julie) Cousineau, Susan (Jeff) Sutherland, Patrick Langille, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents John and Sarah Brant, son-in-law William “Bill” Christner, daughter-in-law “Peg” Cousineau, 3 granddaughters Barbara Hope and Lisa, one sister Edna Brown, and two brothers Thomas and Jack Brant. Ella was a long time faithful member of Trinity United Church, Elmira, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #469, Elmira, the Trillium Rebekah Lodge, Elmira, and active on the Chateau Gardens Auxiliary. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday, May 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday May 7th at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. J. D. Kellough officiating followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. In her memory donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. Service Summary Visitation: At the Funeral Home on Friday, May 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. ~ Funeral Service: At the Funeral Home on Saturday May 7th at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery ~ Donations: St. Mary's Hospital Foundation
