Obituary of Richard Hanley

Passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the age of 50. Loving father of Staci and Taylor, both at home. Dear son of Jim and Norma (Zehr) Hanley of Elmira. Loving brother of Ron (Steph) and Mike (Tina), all of Elmira. Survived by his loyal companion Rusty, and many nieces and nephews. Rick enjoyed his motorcycles and was an avid hunter. He was employed at Sanyo Canadian Machine Works until 2008. He was a member of the Elmira Rod and Gun Club, and current president of the Elmira Hunt Club. Family will receive their friends and relatives at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Monday, May 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church, 19 Flamingo Drive, Elmira, on Tuesday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m, with Father David Lewis officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Monday evening at 8:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to London Health Sciences, Brain Tumour Foundation, would be appreciated as an expression of sympathy, and can be arranged through the funeral home.
