MARTIN, Barbara (Mrs. Cranson)~ Peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Countryview Retirement Residence, RR 3, Listowel, formerly of RR 4, Elmira. Barbara (Bowman) Martin at the age of 102 is the wife of the late Cranson H. Martin (1995). Mother of Emerson B. (Margaret) of RR 1, Ariss, Moses B. (Mary Ann) of RR 4, Elmira, Henry B. (Leah) of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Mary Ann (Orvie) Martin of RR 2, West Montrose, Clayton B. (Seleda) and David B. (Viola) all of RR 3, Listowel. Remembered by 30 grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law Clayton H. Martin. Barbara was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents John and Esther (Brubacher) Bowman, eight brothers and two sisters. She was also predeceased by a son Aden in infancy, a grandson James Hubert Martin and a great-grandson Douglas Grant Martin. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the home of Moses B. Martin, 2520 Three Bridges Road, RR 4, Elmira on Saturday (today) and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. where a family service will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 and then to Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. Service Summary Visitation: At the home of Moses B. Martin, 2520 Three Bridges Road, RR 4, Elmira on Saturday, March 26th and Sunday, March 27th from 1 to 5 p.m. Service: A family service will be held at Moses B. Martin's home at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 and then to Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
