Peacefully, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus in her 80^th year.

Dorothy (Lichty) Martin of Floradale, beloved wife of Oscar G. Martin for 58 years. Dear mother of Marlin and Karen Martin of Teviotdale, Brenda and Tom Schrock of Macon, Mississippi, Charlene and Rob Brubacher of Elmira, Cheri and Stewart Good of New Hamburg, Gary and Laura Lynn Martin of Millbank, Dwayne Martin of Floradale, Val and Gerry Martin of Port Elgin. Dearly missed by her 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lorene and Cleon Weber and Wilma and Paul Bauman. Sister-in-law of Elsie Martin, Mary Bauman, Alice and Clayton Metzger.

Predeceased by her parents Oliver and Leah (Martin) Lichty and parents-in-law Orval and Hannah (Gingrich) Martin, brothers-in-law Mervin Bauman, Willis Martin and granddaughter Richelle Good.

Dorothy will be fondly remembered for her generous hospitality and love for flowers. She had many friends and took an interest in people’s lives.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Crystal View Mennonite Church, 2167 Floradale Rd., Floradale.  A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Crystal View Mennonite Church with interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Masks are required. 

The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed on Dorothy’s tribute page of the funeral home website.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Christian Aid Ministries through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
