Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022 at his home, in his 83^rd year.

Father of Loreen and Melvin Sittler of RR 1, Linwood, Lester and Elaine of RR 4, Listowel, Elmer and Alma of Newton, Mervin and Miriam of RR 4, Listowel, Cleason and Naomi of Lindsay, Isaac and Florence of RR 4, Listowel, Ruth and Alvin Martin of RR 4, Listowel, Martha Gingrich of Matheson, Joseph and Erla of RR 2, Elmira, Lena and Paul Bauman of Matheson, Esther Gingrich of Holstein, Katie and Stephen Frey of RR 3, Mount Forest.

Also survived by 62 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Brother of Aden and Martha Gingrich of Mine Centre. Stepbrother of Elo and Seleda Martin, Mahlon and Elmeda Martin, Allan and Lovina Martin, Martha and Nelson Sauder; and stepbrother-in-law of Anna and Oliver Martin.

Predeceased by his wife Minerva (Frey) Gingrich (2002), parents Isreal and Lovina Gingrich, stepfather Owen Martin, sister Minerva and George Sauder, two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, one stepbrother, two stepsisters, and one stepbrother-in-law.

Friends may call on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Monday, January 10, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. at his home, 3994 Line 83, RR 4, Listowel.  

Family service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 9 a.m., then to Weaverland Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further service.
