Obituary of John Kittel

Kittel, John Tobias “Jack” ~ Peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Jack Kittel, in his 86th year, formerly of Macton, is the beloved husband of the late Eileen (Moser) Kittel (2006). Loved father of Marilyn Hurlburt of Elmira, Sharon Morin of London, Gloria Kittel of Macton, John Jr. and Margaret Kittel of Elmira. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Hurlburt, Justine and Joseph Kittel, Jonathan Moser, and his great-grandchildren, Tyler and Addison. Dear brother of Beatrice and her husband Frank Walter of Elmira. Dear brother-in-law of Celena Kocher, Art and Cecilia Moser, both of Hesson, Doreen O’Grady of RR 3, Listowel, Lenore Moser of Atwood, Irene and Charlie Zettel of Elmira. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth (Weidner) Kittel, a brother Michael, a sister Mary Kittel and a brother-in-law Claude Morin. Jack retired from Uniroyal, Elmira after 40 years of service. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Macton on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Father Robert Hétu officiating. Interment in St. Joseph's RC Cemetery, Macton. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:45 p.m. In his memory, donations to the Building Fund of St. Mary's RC Church, Linwood or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
