My deepest condolences to you Marie, Sheila, Dorine, Sylv, Dave and families. As I joined the service this morning I was flooded with nostalgia and wonderful memories from the days of our youth with time spent at your farm and at Listowel Missionary Church. I mean when you bring Madeline Kufske and Randal Rehkopf in to bless with music ministry one can't help but be transported back to a time of great worship. Dave your testimony of your dad's character and who he was and will remain was so moving and accurate. That calm, steadfast and wise nature always pops into mind when thinking of Alan Empringham. The other word for me personally that comes to mind when I think of Alan...is grace. This has come over the more recent years in my life. Alan would often ask after me when Dorine would visit. And I knew it was in the most genuine manner and always with grace. I cherish that example of a Christ follower. Much love to the family, Charlotte

We were very blessed by the beautiful service today honouring Alan and giving the glory to God for his faithful life of service. We are so sorry for your loss. Uncle Alan was such a special man. I will always hold fond memories of him. Some of my earliest memories of him are in the barn feeding pigs - and wow, the sound of those pigs! No wonder he needed hearing aids so early. He was steady and calm and holds a special place in my heart. He will be missed - until we see him again. Love Brent & Nicole
