Obituary of James Ethelbert Culp


Culp, James “Jim”

Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Alice Culp for 56 years. Loving father of Don (Jaime) Culp and Lorrie Snook (Stuart Conner). Adoring ‘Gramps’ to grandchildren Celeste, Madison, Daniel and Keegan, and step-grandchildren Ethan and Xavier. Will be missed by siblings Lillian Jewer (the late Ed), Ronald (Clara) Culp, Donald (Helen) Culp, and Stanley Culp, and by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Elmer and Mabel Culp, and brothers Victor and Grant.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the funeral home chapel. Please call 519-669-2207 to register your attendance for the visitation and/or service. The Culp family wishes to extend their thanks to James’ nurses, doctors, PSWs, close neighbours and friends, with a special thank you to Linda Blandford for all of the care and attention provided to Jim.

Donations in his memory to Heart and Stroke or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family, and can be made through the funeral home.
