Jim was the most remarkable man I have ever known. He treated me and my children like they were his own. I will never forget everything he has done for my family. I will always love you like a dad. Always in my heart God got another angel. Let him shine down on his beautiful family Cathy, Andrew and Adrian and grand daughters. RiP Jim take care of my dad up there as you both have reached heaven together.
Love always and forever

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. They broke the mould when they made Jimmy Leader. I will always remember him for his hard work, integrity, dedication, great sense of humor and of course the master of a great story!...and as mentioned earlier the double handed handshake and a smile that lit up the room.
The world just lost a great man! If we all took a page out of Jimmy's book, the world would be in a better place. Sending my condolences to all his family. He sure left big shoes for all to try and live up to <3

Jimmy was one of the main reasons I liked coming to work and on the way in tonight it hit me that work was never going to be as much fun. Thanks Jimmy for everything you have done for me over the last 29 years and for being my friend. Jim, you were the toughest dude I ever met. My condolences to Cathy, Andrew, Adrian and the rest of the family.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jimmy for 7 years at the plant where he worked me like a rented mule. I didn’t mind as he worked even harder . Even after 16 years after i left there I could look forward to a 2 handed hand shake and a warm greeting whenever i met Jimmy out on a walk. I will miss him and condolences to Cathy and the boys Rob Henry

Our deepest condolences to all of Jimmy's family. I first met Jimmy about 45 years ago at the ball park in Moorefield where we played church league baseball against each other. He would come driving in his roadrunner with a raccoon tail flying in the wind on his whip aerial. Out he'd come wearing a rawhide jacket with long frills and a cowboy hat on his head, gaining him the nickname Tex. On the mound, it was "game on" as he stared down each batter. Later, we met again at Uniroyal where we worked many years together. He was a very dedicated, hard worker who would help anyone and not want anything in return. When diagnosed with cancer, he was always so upbeat and lived each day as if there was nothing wrong and loved to joke. He would only say, when it's my time, the Good Lord will take me. He fought 'til the bitter end and will be so very missed. You're in our thoughts and prayers, Roy and Robin Diebold.

R.I.P. Jim - The visits we had when Jim came to get parts from the Stockroom were always enjoyable and many laughs were shared - He had a HEART of Gold with all he worked with - I remember sneaking up behind him when he and Cathy were eating lunch at Conestoga Mall and reaching around as if I was going to steal his fries - He was ready to eat my arm not his fries - LOL - You will be missed by many my Friend - Till we meet again for that chat at the Counter !!!
