Obituary of Elam Bowman

Bowman, Elam (Lichty) ~ Born February 14, 1920 and died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at his home. Husband of Velina (Wideman) Bowman. Father of Esther of RR 1, Wallenstein, Paul and Adeline Martin of RR 4, Elmira, Anson Bowman of Kitchener, Aden and Elsie Bowman of RR 1, Wallenstein, Harvey and Elmeda Martin, Amsey and Erla Martin all of RR 2, Mount Forest, Herman and Seleda Brubacher, Onias and Melinda, all of RR 1, West Montrose. Survived by 54 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, sister Lucinda (Mrs. Mahlon Martin) of Floradale, brother Clayton (Delila) of Elmira. Predeceased by one daughter Elizabeth (Mrs. Paul Martin), one grandson, one great-granddaughter, parents John and Annie (Lichty) Bowman, three sisters and two brothers. The family will receive their friends and relatives on Friday, February 18, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. at home, 7528 Line 86, RR 1, Wallenstein, where a family service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 9 a.m. then to Peel Mennonite Church for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
