Kyle Huschka

Obituary of Kyle Thomas Robert Huschka

On Wednesday, June 30, 2021, Kyle lost his hard-fought journey to having a transplant.

Kyle was born September 15, 1983 to his parents Tom and Brenda (Jacky). He graduated from EDSS and went right into the butchering trade. He first worked at Silver Maple Farms for a couple of years and then Conestoga Meat Packers for 15 years. Kyle then joined the UBER team of drivers.

During his youth he enjoyed many activities with Scouts and became a Knight of Tamara. Being outdoors was what Kyle truly loved - he was an active kayaker, skier, snowboarder, hunter, fisher and Argo trail rider. He enjoyed golf, cooking, broomball and hunting with his Dad and was also a member of Hunt Camp 100. The camp, its members, and his times there always held a special place in his heart.

To have met Kyle, is to have known Kyle. He was friendly and open to everyone he met. He would jump at any chance to have a good conversation, sharing his stories and hobbies. Kyle was an active member of the Waterloo Rod and Gun and always did an amazing job of getting all the donations for the prize table for the Club Dinner. He was a kind, gentle, caring spirit and always marched to the beat of his own drum.

Kyle is predeceased by his father Tom in 2019. He is survived by his mother Brenda, his sister Brittany, her husband Paul who was like his brother, and his loving niece Kaila. He is also lovingly remembered by his friend Amanda and her son Owyn, whom he lovingly called his son.

You were loved by so many and are deeply missed. You fought so hard for so long. As your sister told you - you are her hero.

Following Kyle’s wishes, cremation has taken place. We will be celebrating Kyle's life when there are fewer restrictions.

Donations in Kyle’s memory to Move for Life Foundation or the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated by the family, and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
