While we couldn't be there in person, we were grateful to be able to attend the virtual service for Eileen. The music, scripture and photos were a lovely reflection of Eileen's spirit. Aunt Eileen was a solid presence in our family. She was always, cheerful, energetic and nurturing. Elwood remembers her helping his mother set up their new farmhouse, putting up curtains, providing meals, and taking him to the dentist. She made delicious apple sauce from the crab apple tree on her farm. Marsha is grateful for Eileen's warmth and generosity when she welcomed her into the family. We will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of loss. Much love Elwood and Marsha

I am grateful to have had Eileen as my mother in law. She was a stoic, warmhearted woman of great strength. She demonstrated her love by taking pleasure in the simple tasks of mothering and caring for us all- welcoming everyone who crossed her threshold, waifs and strays especially! She showed me how to face grief with her quiet courage. I loved how she saw beauty in simple things and expressed contentment with her life with a hummed tune. I will hold her in my heart always. My deepest condolences to you and your family. She truly was a strong matriarch to look up to. She was always kind to my son when Cole and him would visit her.
