Dear Greg and Larry. Your Mom was such a special lady, and Gary and I have many fun memories of times at the Elmira house. You guys always teased her mercilessly, and Gary was glad to jump on board. I remember hearing her sputter helplessly, after yelling, "Barry, Larry, Gary , Greg..." and not getting the name right for her current target. So she would try again, "Gary, Larry, Barry, Greg..." and still not get the right name. Always in our fond memory, Linda Stortz

Verla was our Mom Gwenna's wonderful friend for many, many years. They had so much fun travelling together, getting together for numerous lunches to catch up, and at AquaFit. So many laughs and good times shared. We will always remember Verla for her kindness, awesome sense of humour and joie de vivre. She was truly such a lovely lady and she will be missed so very much. Sending our deepest sympathy at this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was my Grade 2 teacher and at the time was the Vice Principal and I know that personally because both times i was to see Mr. Reid he was away and I had some explaining to do to your mom.

Greg, Larry, Deb
Verla and I were friends for more than 47 years. I know this because she drove me to the hospital before Derek was born.
School, men who motorcycled, lovely lunches were some of our ties.
She was always up for new things like Bridge and highland dancing.
I will dearly miss our phone conversations and lunches.

Greg, Larry & family,
I’m so sorry to hear of Verla’s passing. She was one of the three musketeers at John Mahood. I have so many wonderful memories of working together for concerts, assemblies, study units & in retirement the meetings for lunch at the Crossroads. I will miss her. Please accept my sympathy.
