to Penny, Brad and Family. Our condolences in the loss of Joan. Joan was a valued and fun member of the Tara Curling Club for many years. She loved the sport and the social aspect of curling. I always enjoyed curling with her or against her and she threw many a great shot--some skill and some straight luck. When we met her anywhere she always asked about our kids and later, our grandkids. Mike and Lindsay love living in the house that Joan and Bill built.

Saddened to hear of the death of your mother Penny. She was always an active spirit and the time I best remember was when her sister Ruth and I were going to Wiarton to meet some of the guys we hung out with. In the dark we did not check inside the car before we set off but half way to Wiarton, up popped two heads, Joan and her little brother hiding I the back seat. She always brought this ups with a laugh. I will always remember her in this way.

My condolences to Penny and Brad and family.
As I was the baby of the family Joan and my older sister Ruth pretty much raised me. Mostly Joan as Ruth left home when I was pretty young. I can still remember when she would play with her Barbara Ann Scott doll. She was the one who trimmed my nails. Always the care giver. She made popcorn for us on the wood stove. She was the one that roasted Jersey Milk chocolate bars in the oven. What a wonderful treat. Joan and her boyfriend Bill Mills always took me and my older brother George on Sunday drives or to the lake swimming. As an adult I remember so many parties ,music, singing and fun times with Joan and Bill. I am truly going to miss her as she was a wonderful sister to have. I am going to add a few pictures. The first one is when I was last visited Ontario from Alberta. Me,Joan and my wife Kathy. Second photo Joan, me and my brother George. Great memories, I will truly miss her.

So glad Joan and I had a big hug last time I saw her at the Tara Curling club..she and the puppy came up to watch ladies night...I will miss gardening with her at the legion and visiting with her at the steak shoots and meat raffles...I'll never forget her and Bill doing the laughing song at dads funeral....they were such a great couple...I will miss her dearly...thinking of you all ....xo
