In 2013, Aunt Leona hosted a Martin family gathering close to her 70th birthday. She did not inform her extended family of her milestone birthday until we arrived that day. I remember how tightly she hugged me when she welcomed me there. I met Kaitlyn that day and enjoyed chatting with Theresa. Aunt Leona bustled about that day, serving with sincere joy. Her hospitality made it possible for me to get reaquainted with cousins. I have relived that day many times in my heart. I was looking forward to showing her the book I am writing of my Dad's hunting stories. I know she would have loved it. She will be remembered as a vibrant aunt, dedicated to her family and filled with good works.With love and sympathy, her neice Carolyn Gingrich, 3rd daughter of Maurice and Margaret Martin

Aunt Leona gave the best hugs!! I remember this event. It reminded me of reunions we had when we were very young. I will always remember her warmth, love and kindness. Aunt Leona’s niece, Eldest daughter of Oscar and Mary Lou Martin
