To the family & friends of Lorraine....Belated though this expression be, know that it does not diminish the extent of my sorrow for the loss you have borne. Lorraine cut my hair for more years than I can count and during those many appointments, we shared wonderful conversation. We especially liked to talk about our respective churches and our involvement in church life. Both of us were choristers and both of us took leadership roles in our churches. I shall miss her greatly. Please know that I will continue to hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers. May we never forget the joy she brought to us and may her memory live on forever in our hearts and minds. God grant you Peace and Comfort at this difficult time.

Dear Wideman Family,
I can't believe Lorraine is gone. I've known Lorraine for at least 40 years or more. When I think of Lorraine her smile is what I remember most. She quietly did many things for Knox Elora. She is not replaceable. After working all week she would come to Elora and worked with the youth. I know she loved her family especially her nieces and nephews and the greats too. When I think of all the things she did. She made a difference in our kids who are now in their forty's. I know when she went to her eternal home she was greeted with such joy and love. Well done My good and faithful servant! May God comfort all of you at this time of great sorrow sincerely Joan Munn

I worked with Lorraine, and what a blessing that she would become a great friend to me. Lorraine was a beautiful example of all that is good on this earth. She cared deeply, laughed with her whole heart, and lifted those in need. She was a strong, successful woman. I aspire to be 1/100th of the woman that she was. I'm hoping some day she lets me in the side door in heaven ;)

My condolences on Lorraine's passing. Worked at Oscar's Convenience at Conestoga Towers and Lorraine was a regular customer. Always had a smile on her face and a witty observation or kind remark to offer. She was beloved by her clients and many simply raved about her skill as a hairdresser. Could always tell when someone came in or had been to see her. May she rest in peace and win the heavenly jackpot!

My deepest condolences to the Wideman family. I remember Lorraine as the hairdresser at St. Jacobs Place Retirement Residence. She was always cheerful and even went up to rooms to bring her clients down to the salon.
I often chatted with her and shared a chuckle.
Rest in Peace, Lorraine.

So sorry to hear of Lorraine's passing... Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
Growing up as neighbors I have many memories of times with the Wideman girls and especially of my first haircut with Lorraine when she was training as a hairdresser. I didn't want to tell my Mom that I was getting my haircut as I was a little afraid of what she would say! Wasn't done for us Mennonite girls!
Praying for all of you during this difficult time.

Lorraine was my youth pastor way back 12 years ago. We had many great memories camping, and going swimming in Kitchener Waterloo with the late night stops at DQ! We even did sleep overs in the church and we played hide and go seek in the dark which was really fun!
She was so excited when my daughter was born I believe she was our first house guest to visit her! I appreciated everything she did for the youth group and i will miss her and her laugh! ❤️
