My brother Keith, from Cribit Seeds, wrote me about June's passing. Many years ago in the mid to late 1950s June and I were active in 4H clubs and the Junior Farmers organization - both groups were very important in the lives of rural young people. As June was a few years older than I was she did the driving to meetings and social events and I remember the chats we had on those car trips. After schooling I went north so we lost touch and our families never met but it is interesting that we both have daughters named Lisa. My condolences to the family - all the good memories will help you through this sad time - Elaine (Martin) Richinger - Kaslo, BC

Lisa and Mark, I was saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. I will always remember her hopping on the atv and running up and down the drive- with those dogs behind her. I know that you will miss her. My thoughts are with you...alan

Lisa and Mark, I first met your mom many years ago when I inquired if I could borrow some of her beautiful harvest sheaves to decorate our church. They were perfectly shaped, fall fair prize winning specimens and added greatly to the Thanksgiving display. June always had time for a friendly smile and chat. Your loss is the community's loss as well. Prayers for all your family.
