Obituary of Shirley Beggs

Shirley (nee Fleet) Beggs ~ Peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Leisureworld Care Centre, Elmira. Shirley was born in Glen Allan on September 6, 1927 and was married to Grant Beggs for almost 65 years. Mother of Sharon and Don Utter of Elmira. Dearest grandma of Michelle and Dale Giberson of Waterloo and great-grandma of Ryan Giberson. Sister of Pearl Houghton of Toronto. Shirley will be missed by Jack and Donna Mae Fleet and their family. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents George and Dora (Cookman) Fleet and by her brother Ellsworth. At Shirley's request cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home Chapel, Elmira on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. In Shirley's memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
