I am so sorry to hear about Craig. He was a wonderful person. I met him when I started working in Cambridge in 1997. We both had a passion for the outdoors, and both ended up working in Kitchener a short time later. New to the area, he invited me trout fishing in the summer. I would oblige his invites. He was often quick to chirp me playing hockey in Elmira the mornings we played. I remember stopping by his home one evening and how proud he was that his son had harvested a deer.
In typical Craig Hoyt class and fashion, he ordered me not to come into work for a night shift the evening I tagged my first deer.
Craig was always willing to help others out and will be sadly missed by many, but so many are better having known Craig.

My deepest sympathy to Brenda and all family members for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
I worked for Craig at WRPS and will always remember what a positive influence he had on everyone in the branch. He never missed an opportunity to compliment and recognize the members for their achievements and always seemed to have a humorous story to share. All who knew him would be aware of his passion for hunting with a bow and arrow and I will always remember his kindness and generosity when he invited the members and their significant others to a venison bbq at his house. It was a wonderful and memorable day.
Rest in peace Craig.

My condolences to Brenda and family on Craig’s passing. .
Craig was my very first Staff Sergeant at WRPS. Craig was a kind and caring man, who took the time to take me aside (as a rookie) after a few ‘big calls’, just to make sure I was doing okay.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Shelly and I wish to express our deepest condolences to you Brenda and your family. Our hearts go out to all of you!
Although it’s been years since working with and knowing Craig at WRPS it sure has been great catching up over the past couple years. I feel so lucky to have been able to spend the afternoon with him a few weeks ago on Manitoulin. He was such a kind loving man who will be missed by all who knew him!

Brenda and Family,
So sorry to hear of Craigs passing. Always looked forward to visits for last 8 years when on the island. Will miss his great wit and storytelling and the fishing advice. Still not sure why he gave the advice when Brenda caught most of the fish.
Thinking of you,
