Condolences to Rob's family and his many friends. I will miss him always. I have never known anyone as kind. He was low key and it only took a quick look or smile to get his easy laugh. He just understood.
When we lived in Calgary and had adjacent small apartments we spent a good deal of time as single young men chasing around Alberta. Banff,Lake Louise and a couple trips to the Badlands were favorite spots. We were young lions! Memories for a lifetime.
In later years he made me and my brother welcome guests at the cottage. Halcyon days. What a place and what a host to meet up with old friends. Having a couple beers and whacking practice golf balls around the yard. I hope after this awful pandemic is under control we can all get together and raise a glass to Rob.
We all loved Rob and I am proud I was his friend.

Best of friends for almost 50 yrs. We enjoyed many good summer times at the cottage with Rob and a tight group of friends. Such a wonderful kind friend and loved by all who knew him. Knowing he is in heaven, a better place brings some comfort.Robert will be forever missed byTheresa and I.
Wanda, Diane, David, nephews Don and Andrew: may peace and comfort be with you at this very difficult time.
I'd like to share this music video we made for fun, one of the many wonderful memories of Rob.with Pierre, and France, Theresa and I

My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
It was a cool fall day sitting on the hillside behind QSS watching the Saints demolish some local high school. I had a good day and was celebrating with an 80 ouncer of Ruby Rouge Begonia. It was so big it had a handle on the side and I was going to need some help to get to the bottom of it. Rob wandered by and I lifted the green blanket it was hidden under. I didn't know him that well as he was older and a good friend of my brother Clive. As was his kind nature he just sat down and we became friends as we emptied that bottle. Recently I've spent time with him at his cottage reliving our past and making new memories. I believe he is the nicest person I have had the privlage to know. A little piece of me left with him as I was looking forward to more ruby rouge begonia days to follow.
