This is my first born, daughter Elissa in 1988'.Reverand Brill baptized all three of my children, married me in 1987 and did my father Alfred Herchenraders funeral. He was a very wonderful person, soft spoken and a story-teller for sure.

Pastor Brill was a quiet, kind-hearted man and we always enjoyed his sermons during his tenure at St. Matthews. He was a masterful storyteller and wove those stories beautifully into his sermons. He touched many souls throughout his lifetime.

Dear Joan & family, my very deepest sympathies go out to you & your family. Pastor Brill was very special to myself & my family. He will be truly missed, but will stay in our hearts.
My greatest memory was a Sunday of the summer of 96, I was having a difficult day and went to St. Jacob's (always found peace in the village). I wished that I could by chance see Pastor Brill that day. Within minutes of my thought I saw him. It was unbelievable. He helped me immensely with how to cope with my situation. God truly does appear & help when needed. I will remember this & many other memories I have if him.

We have many great memories of Pastor Brill at St. Matthews, Kitchener. He always had a smile and a personal greeting to everyone, and he remembered everyone's name. We also enjoyed a lot of fun and fellowship on our trip to Oberammegau in 2000 with Pastor Brill and Joan. Job well done, Pastor Brill. Rest in Peace.

He was the most inspiring, kind hearted Pastor. I looked up to him and enjoyed confirmation in his class. Into his retirement he was a good friend to my family and I. I am glad I got to tell him years ago what a great Pastor he was. I am crushed by this news, but he has been called home to rest with the Heavenly Father and is now at peace. I shall carry his words with me into old age , all the lessons he taught us as youth and in sermon. May the lord be with Joan, his lovely wife and family, and may the angels comfort them, and hold their hands as they grieve though this difficult loss.
