I will remember Rick's mischievous smile, a day trip on his boat, and the camaraderie he shared with my husband- happy memories of a friendly guy. And I will remember the day I arrived for my haircut to find Rick there ahead of me, not to get a trim himself, but to treat a street-housed man to a much needed cut. I wonder how many so-very-generous deeds he committed without getting caught in the act.

Rick was a great friend for 30 years. Over that time he became more of a brother to me. We met while I was bartending at Bellamy's and working my way through school. As I completed my studies and sought out a new career, Rick would visit me for a beer. As he sat at the bar behind his open newspaper he would often say, 'Hey Shawn, I found a job for you." My excitement was unmatched as I stopped everything to engage him in what might be my next big opportunity ...it was always followed with, "how do you feel about pink Cadillacs?" A roar of laughter would erupt and our friendship grew. My sincerest condolences to everyone during these difficult times and I hope your memories are just as fond as mine. Farewell my friend. I love you. Shawn
