I am so sorry to read of the departure of Les from this life. He was a dear man. I worked with him at St Christopher House in the 70's and in 1976 he married my husband and I in my sister's garden. I admired and loved him. He was a man of uncommon ethics and kindness. Always realistic and more able than anyone I know in confronting difficult life issues. He was a straight talker and possessed an enormous heart. He left his mark on this world and will be sorely missed.

I remember Mr. Phillips with great fondness. As a veterinarian, I had the privilege of delivering care to his animals over a number of years.
He always demonstrated compassion and dedication to the care of his pets. I will always cherish a letter he wrote to me at the time he was preparing to move into long term care, thanking me for my service. He was a true gentleman.
I extend my sympathy to the Phillips family.
