Dear Marlene and Tom,
Ever since you shared with me (4 weeks ago) about the state of your father and all the troubles that were surrounding you and the family, Marjorie and I have been in prayer for your peace and struggle to deal with many issues at this time. We are familiar with your father's area of Ontario as my mom and dad were born and died in Listowel, just around the corner from Hawkesville. Words always seem empty at this time, but the promises of the Saviour are real and lasting....May the God of all comfort keep you in His intensive care....with love and deep condolences , Larry and Marjorie MacDonald.

To the family of Uncle Hylke,
We want to extend our sincere sympathy at the passing of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. I (Wil) have a lot of good memories of Oom Hylke, as Trudy and I had several stay overs in Elmira, and remember him being especially good with children. It's too bad we couldn't pass on our condolences in person, but you are in our prayers. And we take comfort that Uncle Hylke is in the presence of God himself.
All the best and God bless,
Wil, Cheryl and Caleb

Praying that you know God's presence with you as you grieve the loss of this beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
"Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father's home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am." John 14:1-3

To the Wynja family,
My condolences to you! Just a couple of days ago I thought of Hylke, how that he seemed to enjoy whenever I would send him a German article by e-mail that I found Witzig (humorous).

Thinking of you Rob, Chris and Carter and Marlene and Tom in this time of loss. I have many memories of Oom Hylke from our family gatherings growing up. He always made time to talk and laugh with his nieces and nephews. I also remember sleepovers at the Wynja house in Elmira (which was the big city compared to Drayton). I remember visiting the icecream shop in downtown Elmira and I remember Oom Hylke buying me a blue popcorn ball at a market down the street from their house. More recently, when visiting Chartwell with my mom, Dinie Hesselink, we were always greeted with his kind and warm smile. We are thankful for his faith and that we can be confident he is now rejoicing in heaven. with love Bernice and Ian and family

My condolences with the loss of your father, Rob, Chris and Carter, Marlene and Tom and families. I have many fond memories of our families coming together. I have a more recent memory of a visit with him. We stood to give each other a hug and almost fell in the process to the amusement of everyone around us. I will miss him. It is a comfort to know that he is with his heavenly Father.

Dear Rob, Christina and Carter, Marlene and Tom
We want to express our sincere condolences to you in the loss of your beloved father. But we also rejoice with you in the assurance that he is now in the Father’s House with the many mansions, where a place was prepared for him by his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We have so many precious memories of all the visits we had with your parents over the years. They were also excellent hosts as we were invited to stay for dinner . We have always respected your father’s courage and determination to operate his own cleaning business. That certainly was hard work !
With our love.

Sorry to hear about Hylke's passing. However, I am sure he is not sorry as he sees his blessed Lord and Saviour. Appreciated his frendship and his prayers for us while we were in the Elmira area. He was always very pleasant and friendly and always had a smile when we saw him. I remember many times examining the Scriptures with him. Our condolences at this difficult time.

Our heartfelt condolances to Rob, Chris, Marlene and extended family. What a blessed assurance to know that Hylke is now with his Lord and Saviour. We as his in-laws have many special memories of him. For example, when we first met him at the Guelph Reformed Church as a new immegrant. It was not long after, that we noticed Hylke and Dieni huddled together in the living room corner. A year later they were married.
As time went on it was clear, that both Hylke and Dieni had determined to follow a Bible based faith, not only for themselves but it was also a blessing to see this as a fruit in their offspring.
We will certainly miss Hylke but look forward to join him in glory.
Be assured of our thoughts and prayers as you process his departure.
A loving embrace from both of us.
