Obituary of Carl Voisin

Carl William Voisin passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 17, 2010 at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. He was born January 25, 1926 in St. Clements to the late Edwin and Leona (Lorentz) Voisin. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Johanna (Herteis) Voisin and his children Steve (Paula), Greg (Cathy), Cindy and Christine (Doug). Adored and cherished grampa of Michelle (Tony), Craig (Brandy), Melanie (Scott), Megan, Ryan, Jesse, Colin and Kelsey. Loving great-grampa to Zack and Cam. Dear brother to Harold (Della), Romie (Mary), Tom, Mark (Joanie) and Donnie (Veronica). Carlie was predeceased by his brothers Elmer (Eva), Herbie and Laverne (Joanie). Carlie was a loyal member of St. Clements RC Church and a dedicated volunteer fireman for both Maryhill and St. Clements. He was known to friends and family as a jack of all trades and a master mechanic. He worked the majority of his life at Voisin's Garage in Maryhill. Carlie's family will receive friends and relatives at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Clements RC Church, St. Clements on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. Parish prayers will be recited at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Grand River Hospital for their expertise and compassion.
