Today my day began with the news of John's death...an ending but a beginning for him of finally seeing the answers to all the questions he was curious about. He loved to engage in conversations and "pick your brain" to satisfy his honest curiosity about faith and spiritual issues and about life in general. The Bible and his faith walk was very important to him. John was a compassionate, understanding, encouraging, loyal and generous "people person". He loved to tease, had a quick sense of humour and a hearty laugh. He loved his family and was always so proud of their accomplishments. I am so thankful that his and his family's story became a part of our family's story. I hope that you, Leah, Ruth, Marie and Ray and your families feel the warm hug and the prayerful energies I am sending your way. Nancy Fehderau

To the Boehm family, my most sincere and heartfelt condolences at this time of your loss. My memories of John go back many years because of his friendship with my dad. John was a loving, kind person who listened attentively and cared deeply, a genuine and congenial man. Although I was never in one of the Sunday school classes which he taught, on occasion I was able to hear him challenging those in attendance, as his knowledge of Scripture was important to him.
Leah, I can only imagine what this loss means to you. Despite John's last days (Pastor Mark let us know), you brought a freshly baked pecan pie, still warm, to my mother who was also grieving the loss of her husband and my Dad.
May God grant you peace and comfort , and for John eternal rest.
