To the Richmond Family...So sorry for your loss. I will always remember something your Dad told me when I was living in the apartments on James Street. Soon after Jeremy was born, I was walking down the street with him and stopped to talk to Lorne. At the time he told me "just wait, soon you will turn around and wonder where the first 10- years have gone". I thought, "yeah sure", but 10- years later, I realized how right he was. Bill and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you mourn the loss of another family member. Kathy Brox

Although we did not have pleasure of knowing Lorne we do know Dave. It appears from all you have said that Lorne has transcended his spirit and caring to Dave.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our deepest sympathy
Lorne was always glad to see family in Elmira or at the cottage, you were always welcome. Mom would bake for a day before we went, maybe that's why they were glad to see us. If you brought friends, they were greeted like family
In late years when my kids came along he was always glad to see the next generation. He would be wondering how things were on the farm.
You can take the boy from the farm, but you cant take the farm from the boy.

That smile on Lorne's face says it all. One that you would see at all the Barrie Auto Flea Markets with the guys, as well as enjoying conversation and a beer. Very caring man.

Lorne was a great man and a good friend to all who had the pleasure to have known him. I am going to miss the chats about old cars and gas collectibles as well as the cold ones in the garage (sometimes too many). Sad to see him go but he touched a lot of peoples lives and left a smile on your face when you talked with him. Our thoughts go out to the family. Rest in piece my buddy Lorne.
