Rest in Peace Larry.
I cant quite fathom a world without him. He fixed everything ...Whether it be with his mind that was sharp as a tack, with his tools and skillful hands or with his wonderful wit and gentle spirit. I loved him dearly, depended on him tremendously and will miss him terribly.❤❤❤
Love Margie

One of my favourite memories with Grandpa happened when I was 15 or 16. I was staying with Grandma and Grandpa over the summer while I was in summer school but had to be back in Listowel on the weekends for work.
I remember one particular weekend Grandma and Grandpa were going to pick me up and bring me back from work on their way through town.
Due to some teenage shenanigans I ended up being late to work and when Grandma and Grandpa arrived to pick me up I was still at least 20 minutes from being done at work.
Now instead of waiting around for me to get my act together and finish up Grandpa gave me a lecture on how I should have been ready when I said I was going to be and then proceeded to leave me at work with no way to Linwood except my bicycle.
Needless to say I learned a thing about punctuality and respecting Grandpas time.
Miss you Grandpa, Love you. Mitchel

Of every amazing memories I have, my favourite and will always be the very last time I got to see you. Was the local rod and gun fish fry ,I came down early to have a few drinks with you, before we where gonna get food. while mom and grandma where gone shopping. We sat around and talked for a few hours , no interruptions except a call from work but for thous hours of us of talking drinking laughing and carrying on we where both free ! Free of the burden of worry about tomorrow what was happening around us thous hours felt like seconds time stood still because the conversation took off and grew great by the minute. By the time mom and grandma got home we had more then half a 60 away and never thought a thing of it ! Was just two guys talking about life just like everyone used too with there high school buddies never thought a thing of it ! When grandma and mom left they laid the ground rules out that’s I had to look after grandpa but it was very clear that once they had returned home he was looking after me if it was not with knowledge it was with another drink both mom and grandma hadn’t even stepped both feet in the door and knew we where both over the limit ! They began to scold us and started points fingers as who’s to blame but how do you blame two drunk guys that’s never did anything wrong ?! By the end of the night before we left I hugged you for the last time not knowing it but if i would’ve I known I woulda hugged you a little longer !! Like they say hindsight is 20 20. The next day I got up and mom laughed and said if that’s the last time you see grandpa that’ll be your fondest memory because even she hasn’t see grandpa drink rye in years and that’s something I’ll drink to !! Cheers to that 77 years on earth and forever in our hearts !! Love you lots !!

Always quick with a smile, Larry was a kind and gentle man that gave his all to his family and to community service. Growing up, I could always count on seeing him giving his time to the church, the Rod and Gun club and every darned Snofest or dance that we ever had... you'll be missed buddy!

Larry... You were very loved and a wonderful person in my life. Whether it was our family going to Linwood on a Saturday night, or the Cressman Clan coming to Wallenstein to play cards, while the kids built haunted houses upstairs. It may have been scaring Mary with a bear at the washline in a campsite in Algonquin, or our two families playing on the glacier at Columbia Ice Fields, or watching the rodeo at the Calgary Stampede. You were and always have been my Dads best friend. like he tells everyone, '' I've known Larry since before he was born.'' You were my Dads best friend, but you were always a good friend to me as well. You were a great person, a wonderful friend, and very much loved. I'm so glad that you were in my life. and I'm really, really going to miss you. Until we meet again up yonder, you will be in my heart, and in my memories. I'll see you then. Thanks for everything.
Bye for now.........Steve McTavish

My grandpa was more then just a family member, he was a loving and caring guy to not only family members but to those who needed some love. Grandpa was a friend of mine as well as my grandfather and I’m gonna miss him more then what some might think. Cheers to you pops!! You fought death till the bitter end and still had a smile on your face!! Save me a beer for when we meet again so we can argue about Chevy and Dodge pickup trucks once again, I’ll miss you a lot!

My favourite memory of grandpa is that no matter what happened, no matter what he did, he always had a smile on his face. No matter the question you threw at him, he always had answer. There was no problem we threw at him he couldn’t solve, and he did all of it with a beer in one hand and a tool in the other. I’m going to miss you grandpa, but I hope you’re in a better place. I love you
