Aunt Verna was like a mother to me;, She kind of took me under her wings after I came to lived in Cambridge and married her son Ron's best friend. She would have us over every Christmas, and many sundays; furnished us with all kind of preserves ,pickles, canned fruits and vegetables She was great for her knitting' hats, mitts beautiful and warm socks She was never in a bad mood; my children consider her and uncle Eddy like their grandparents.
She was a gentle and strong women; when we went to visited in ST Jacob she would see us to the door and keep on going to the main street for her walk. When we went to Elmira I sat with her for the sing song she smile took my hand, but when I Left her she din't reminder who I was; but this was o.k. because she was smiling. My children were very sad went I Told of her passing because they were losing a part of their family and childhood. I will miss her very much and keep her in my memory forever
