Obituary of Elsie Hilker

Elsie Hilker ~ Peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital with her family at her side, Elsie (Cole) Hilker in her 96th year of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Hilker (1983). Dear mother of Ralph and Shirley Hilker of Waterloo, Dolores Arndt of Sarnia, Jim and Helen Hilker of Elmira. Cherished grandmother of Brad (Nancy) Hilker of Peterborough, Michelle (Corry) Holden of Cambridge, Mike (Debbie) Arndt of Bluevale, Marlene (Steven) Snyder of RR 1, Elmira, Warren (Diane) Arndt of Cambridge, Derrick Arndt of Kitchener, Brian Runliski of Wawa, Gloria Hilker of Kitchener, James (Darla) Hilker of Kitchener, John (Tina) Hilker of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by her 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Art (Lil) Cole of Scarborough. Elsie will be dearly missed by her many friends and extended family. Predeceased by her sister Hazel Cosens, her brother Jack Cole, 2 grandchildren Teddy Arndt and Stephen Hilker, 2 great-grandchildren Joseph and Joel Snyder. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Memory Gardens. In her memory, donations to St. Mary's Cardiac Care would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. The family wish to extend their appreciation to Dr. G. Jones, The Community Care Service/Red Cross, her great neighbours and all the staff and doctors at Freeport Health Centre and St. Mary's Hospital for the excellent care given to our Mom.
