Dear Ron and the family,
We are deeply saddened by the sudden news of Shirley’s passing. Our friendship go back almost 21years ago and ever since, Shirley has always been a loving, caring and a wonderful friend. No words can express how much we appreciated her presence and her friendship. We still can’t believe her visit with Ron to Japan last year was our last, but she will remain in our hearts always. She will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and please accept our most sincere condolence.

Our family ( Kaus ) hearts go out to all Shirley’s loved ones. We know she is at peace & in the arms of others that love her. With that knowledge it is still hard to say our good- byes. Will miss her kindness & sense of humour. My memories of Shirley are more when we were young. My mom & Shirley’s dad we’re siblings who would share their older children for the summer holidays. We would spent about a month with our cousins in Collingwood & then some of the Reid’s would come to Midland for a holiday. We would joke about how hard we worked picking strawberries, cherries, etc. on our visit while on their visit we swam, explored etc. Those times together with Shirley & her siblings was a dear part of our life. Shirley loved telling stories, make you think about things, but most of all making you laugh. I can understand her being a great teacher for she always enjoyed seeing that spark in your eyes when you finally got it. Bless you cousin, so happy to have had you in my life.

Dear Family:
I am very, very sorry to hear this sad news. Shirly is in glory with the LORD. I loved Shirley and I sensed her love for me. Shirley had a heart of gold; she will be greatly missed by the Parkwood Mennonite Residents. Her visits were always full of grace, kindness and love.
With tears in my eyes and sadness in my heart I write these words. I'll miss her visits and know that we'll be reunited one day. Please accept my sincere condolences. Love in Christ, Stella & John Ruza
