My heart is heavy as I read of George's passing. Back in the 1990s, I wrote a genealogy book about the descendants of George's (and my) ancestor, Daniel Letson, who left New York and eventually settled in West Montrose with several members of his large family. George was instrumental in providing pages (and pages) of documentation to help me construct my book. He was an avid supporter of my effort, and his knowledge of the region, along with his kindness, and consideration, will not be forgotten. As a matter of fact, I gave him one of those books, and I hope he enjoyed having a copy. George was a gentle man, and I pray for peace and comfort for your family as you navigate the difficult days ahead. May Jesus rest your soul, cousin George. Sharleen
