Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Chartwell Elmira LTC, at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Stanley Winfield (2003).
Dear mother of Ken and Gayl, Carl and Cathy, Bruce and Sandy, Bryon and Joanne. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Robin (Regan), Courtney (Jeff), Becky, Ashley (Bill), Tyrone, Anthony, Stephanie, Ryan (Samantha), and by her eight great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents Olaf and Alma (Baetz) Holm, daughter-in-law Kathy, grandson Benjamin, brother Len, and sister-in-law Jean.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 60 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
In Vera’s memory, donations to St. James Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
