I had the delight of meeting Dorothy for the first time back in April of this year when I visited my parents at St Jacobs Place. Dorothy had volunteered years ago with my mother at the MCC Thrift shop and my mom often spoke of Dorothy because they also shared a table in the dining room at St Jacobs Place. During my time there, Dorothy would often stop to chat with me. We shared a love of nature and seeing the birds/critters along the Mill Race Trail. She would tell me stories about her bird feeding station at her previous apartment that looked out at the Mill Race. I had taken the train from BC to Ontario and Dorothy had asked to see my pictures. We both had a love of train travel. While it was only 2 months we had to get to know each other, I will always remember Dorothy and our time together very fondly.
My condolences to Dorothy's family and friends.
With sincere sympathy,
