Obituary of Robert Victor Merner

Passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Freeport Health Centre, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Diane (Metzger) for 42 years.

Devoted father of Jill and Randy Britton, Carrie and Eric Deckert, and Robert “Bud” and Jenna Merner. Proud grandpa of eight grandchildren.

Bob is survived by brother-in-law Fred Walker, sisters Karen (James) Schnarr and Kimberly Greenaway, and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary Merner, and loving sisters Bev Ermel and Robin Walker.

There will be a memorial visitation for relatives and friends on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A private service will be held. In memory of Bob, donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or KidsAbility Foundation would be appreciated.
