Adams, Eric Gordon

Passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Eric Adams of New Hamburg, formerly of Elmira, was the beloved husband of Mary (Sinclair) Adams.

Eric was the dear father of Max and his wife Richere. Loving grandfather of Jackson, Logan, and Chloe Adams. Remembered by his sister Mary E. (Michael) Morris.

He had a dry sense of humour which was greatly appreciated by his family and friends. He loved his dogs, and was an avid competitor, judge, and partier. He was proud of his field trial champion Ben, and was fond of his current Labrador Retriever Meg. Eric enjoyed feeding the birds in Elmira, and was delighted when the orioles came to feast on grape jelly at his new home in New Hamburg.

He was a connoisseur of food and drink, an excellent chef, loved to entertain, and always wanted the latest cooking gizmos. He loved to travel with friends to destinations including the south of France, Portugal, England, Scotland and Ireland. He loved living in Elmira, and enjoyed working on Kiwanis club projects.

Despite his medical problems in recent years, he was always in good humour. He loved his life and would not have changed a thing.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 2 - 5 p.m. at the Elmira Legion Branch 469, 11 First St. E., Elmira. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
