Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at St. Jacobs Place Retirement Residence, at the age of 85 years.
Robert was the beloved husband of Penny Mercer, of St. Jacobs, for 53 years. Dear father of Timothy (Bina Mittal) Mercer of Toronto, Andrew (Sara) Mercer of Nova Scotia, and Caroline (David) Jones of Waterloo. Grandfather of Teighan, Zennin, and Kwynton Mittal-Mercer; Ben Mercer; and Sarah, Peter and Christopher Jones. Brother of Jo McMurtrie.
Predeceased by siblings Jean Gerard-Pearce and Gillian Cheape.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Jacobs Place Retirement Residence, 10 Water Street, St. Jacobs.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
