Elmer was a wonderful friend and we will miss him. I always enjoyed working with him at the 5th Wheel in Cornwall. His faithful service to the Lord was evident in his smile as he refilled coffee cups and talked to drivers and other folks in the restaurant. He was always humble and willing to help in anyway he could. Even though he and Vera moved from Cornwall, we always kept in touch. Although we are temporarily parted, we will meet again.

Dear Vera,
I feel a deep sorrow on your &, indeed, our Parkinson Group loss. Elmer, yes, & you Vera gave our group a depth of humor, character & team play. So many losses these days all round us. And yet I cling to that wonderful promise when death & all tears will pass away. I grasp that the promise of every tear being wiped away, when the resurrected one will call us all to Him & death will be no more. Of course this does not diminish one iota the pain & loss of a loved one, yet I pray that through the prism of tears we can see the one who wept over the loss of a friend named Lazarus.
With all my heart & prayers,
Oz

Vera, we are so sorry to hear of Elmer's passing and your great loss. It was so nice to reconnect with you at the cousins' reunion some years ago and we regret not seeing you since then. The years fly by so quickly. My heart goes out to you, Vera--I wish you could have celebrated recovery instead. I pray you find comfort in your many happy memories, and in your eternal hope of being together again where all is well. Remembering fondly those long ago days together at EDSS. Your old school chum, Elaine, and Elmer's cousin Ken.

To Vera, Craig and Rhoda;
We will miss Elmer. We will miss his gentle smile, the light of Christ radiated from it. His care and concern for others was touching. We have seen the effects of his faithful prayer, his humility, and have felt the encouragement from his resounding 'Amen' to the spoken truth of the freedom in Christ and his gift of salvation. May you experience God's peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Our family often tells people of Elmer's good sense of humor. The first Sunday we attended Wallenstein he introduced himself to us. "My name is Elmer.' he'd say. And then added, "And just so you don't forget, think of the glue, Elmer's Glue. Now let that stick with you!" We laugh everytime. Of course we've never forgotten his name!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May God be your comfort.

Dear Vera,Craig and Rhoda!
Our sympathies to you on the loss of a husband and father who is now in the prescience of Christ according to what Paul wrote. “Having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.” (Phil. 1:23)
However, to remain back leaves us sorrowful and lonely. We will miss his cheerful outlook on life and encouraging comments.
May the Lord Himself give you much peace and comfort at this time. We pray for you. Mel & Irene FreyRQGL

Dear Vera, Craig and Rhoda,
My sympathies at this time. One thing that stands out in my mind and I will treasure forever, is when Elmer and Vera called me in Puerto Rico to pray for me. It means even more knowing that he was suffering physically, yet his confidence was in the Lord and I am sure the Lord has said, "Welcome home, good and faithful servant."
