Obituary of Loreen M. Martin
December 7, 1925 - April 28, 2019
Passed away peacefully at her home in Alma, at the age of 93. Wife of the late Noah B. Martin (1990). Dear mother of James and Mary Martin of Westmeath, Joyce (Mrs. Earl J.) Martin of Elmira, Gladys and Gordon Bauman of Alma, and Stuart and Fern Martin of St. Jacobs. Lovingly remembered by 22 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Survived by her brothers Clare Martin of Drayton and Alva and Alma Martin of Drayton, and sister-in-law Seleda (Mrs. Oscar) Martin of Elora.
Predeceased by her parents Tilman and Mary (Martin) Martin, daughter Pauline (1988) and Maurice (1985) Shantz, son Earl J. Martin (2016), a great-grandson, a great-great-granddaughter, brother Oscar Martin, sister Vietta Martin, and sister-in-law Vera (Mrs. Clare) Martin.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers from Bayshore, Right at Home, Closing the Gap, and St. Elizabeth for their compassionate care.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8:30 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 9 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by burial and public service at Montrose Mennonite Meeting House.
